Kirkuk launches first natural forest project near Khasa Dam

Kirkuk launched a natural forest project covering a planned 6,000 dunams near Khasa Dam. The first phase called for planting 10,000 trees across 100 dunams, with goals including recreation, erosion control and reducing desertification. The project formed part of a wider provincial campaign to plant about 70,000 trees.
